The Frisco Charter Chapter of ABWA was formed in 2002 in order to bring the benefits of ABWA National to the businesswomen of Frisco.

History of ABWA
At the close of World War II, many women who had joined the workforce for the first time during the war were reluctant to give up their newfound careers. Like you, they were navigating a professional path. Hilary A. Bufton, Jr., a Kansas City businessman, saw the positive impact women were making on businesses. He, along with three businesswomen, created a national support network for working women.

On September 22, 1949, the American Business Women's Association was founded. Throughout its proud history, ABWA has dedicated resources to women's education and provided workplace skills and career development training for more than half a million women.
